Something to Consider

One of my favorite resources for finding relevant and inspiring information is Edutopia. This quick read offers valuable insights on how we can maintain positivity in those classes we know will go well, and how we can shift the dynamic in periods that might be more challenging which we may already know which periods those are.

When students feel a sense of belonging—knowing they are part of a supportive community—they become more open to achieving success. They are more likely to see the relevance in what you're teaching and feel your passion and love for the subject.

Richard Curwin highlights four key strategies in his article, "Start the Year by Building Hope" Making Success Attainable, Building Personal Connections, Making Learning Relevant, and Expressing Your Passion. These approaches can transform your classroom experience and set a positive tone for the year.

Remember, it's important to "go slow to go fast." Establishing a strong classroom culture now will pay huge dividends later in the year, creating an environment where both you and your students can thrive.

Hope you find a gold nugget in this article.
